
My 2nd cousin 6x removed Marcus Conner Dellinger and his children.Marcus was a carpenter before he was conscripted at the age of 26 into Co. C., 37th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry, CSA as a private on 15 Aug 1862. He was 5'8" with a light complexion, he had brown hair and grey eyes. He was Promoted to Full Corporal on 15 Mar 1863.
Corporal Dellinger was wounded at Fredericksburg. On 15 December 1862 he was admitted to Chimborazo Hospital in Richmond Virginia for a gunshot wound to the knee/leg. He was captured at Petersburg 2 April 1865 and was a P.O.W at Point Look Out Prison, he was released 11 June 1865 Born 26 November 1836 in , Lincoln county , North Carolina,
