Peter Franklin Dellinger Company I, North Carolina's 11th Infantry Regiment (Bloody Bethel)

Peter Franklin Dellinger was born 23 Oct 1843. He was the son of Private Daniel H. Dellinger ( 4th Regiment, North Carolina Senior Reserves Company: K) and Frances Fanny Houser. Peter is listed as being a resident of Lincoln county, North Carolina.

Muster Rolls show Peter Franklin Dellinger enlisting on 9 march 1862 in Lincolnton NC for 3 years or the duration of the war. He was assigned to Company I, North Carolina's 11th Infantry Regiment (Bloody Bethel).

Private Peter Franklin Dellinger was shot in the stomach and listed as killed in action on 3 July 1863, at the battle of Gettysburg. He was 19 years old when he met his fate. His name appears on the 11th Infantry Regiment NCT Roll of Honour. His burial place is unknown to me at this time.
