My family members who fought under this flag;

1st Lieutenant Lawson Alexander Dellinger 

Wounded and captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 3, 1863. Confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware, on or about July 17, 1863. Transferred to Johnson's Island, Ohio, July 27, 1863. Paroled at Johnson's Island on an unspecified date. Received at City Point, Virginia, on or about February 24, 1865, for exchange. Survived the war.

Private Albert P Dellinger

Born in Lincoln County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Lincoln County at age 18, March 25, 1862. Reported present or accounted for on surviving company muster rolls through December, 1864. Survived the war.

Private Isaac Dellinger

 Resided in Lincoln County where he enlisted at age 28, July 6, 1862, for the war. Captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 5, 1863, after he was left behind to help attend to the wounded. Confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware, on or about July 10, 1863. Transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, where he arrived on October 15, 1863. Paroled at Point Lookout on February 18, 1865. Received at Boulware's Wharf, James River, Virginia, February 20, 1865, for exchange. Survived the war.

Sergeant John Calvin Dellinger 

Previously served as Private. in Company K, 1st Regiment N.C. Infantry (6 months, 1861). Enlisted in this company in Lincoln County on March 25, 1862. Mustered in as Corporal. Promoted to Sergeant on March 21, 1864. Reported present or accounted for on surviving company muster rolls through October, 1864. Hospitalized at Charlotte on November 27, 1864, with necrosis. Returned to duty on December 30, 1864. Captured near Petersburg, Virginia, March 25, 1865. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, March 28, 1865. Released at Point Lookout on June 12, 1865, after taking the Oath of Allegiance.

Private John F Dellinger 

Born in Lincoln County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Lincoln County at age 20, March 25, 1862. Died in hospital at Raleigh on or about May 2, 1862, of "pneumonia."

Private Michael P Dellinger 

Born in Lincoln County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Lincoln County at age 21, March 25, 1862. Reported present or accounted for on surviving company muster rolls through December, 1864; however, he was reported absent sick during much of that period. Survived the war.

Private Monroe D Dellinger 

 Resided in Lincoln County where he enlisted at age 24, July 6, 1862, for the war. Captured at Falling Waters, Maryland, July 14, 1863. Confined at Old Capitol Prison, Washington, D.C. Transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, August 8, 1863. Transferred to Elmira, New York, August 16, 1864. Paroled at Elmira on March 10, 1865. Received at Boulware's Wharf, James River, Virginia, March 15, 1865, for exchange. Survived the war.

Private Noah Dellinger 

 Born in Lincoln County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Lincoln County at age 18, March 25, 1862. Hospitalized at Charlottesville, Virginia, October 18, 1863, with a gunshot wound. Place and date wounded not reported (probably wounded at Bristoe Station, Virginia, October 14, 1863). Furloughed for thirty days on November 17, 1863. Returned to duty in January-February, 1864. Captured at Burgess' Mill, Virginia, October 27, 1864. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, October 31. 1864. Paroled at Point Lookout on March 28, 1865. Received at Boulware's Wharf, James River, Virginia, March 30, 1865, for exchange.

Private Samuel W Dellinger 

Previously served as Private. in Company K, 1st Regiment N.C. Infantry (6 months, 1861). Enlisted in this company on May 11, 1862. Reported absent without leave on or about July 1, 1862.

Private Lafayette Stroup

 Resided in Lincoln County where he enlisted at age 20, July 6, 1862, for the war. Captured by the enemy on an unspecified date (probably at or near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on or about July 3, 1863). Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, where he died on or about February 17, 1864. Cause of death not reported.

 Private Robert Stroup

 Born in Lincoln County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Lincoln County at age 20, March 25, 1862. Captured at Falling Waters, Maryland, July 14, 1863. Confined at Old Capitol Prison, Washington, D.C. Transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, August 8, 1863. Died at Point Lookout on or about February 13, 1864. Cause of death not reported.

 Private Private Robert B Stroup 

Resided in Lincoln County where he enlisted at age 24, July 6, 1862, for the war. Reported present or accounted for on surviving company muster rolls through April, 1864. Hospitalized at Petersburg, Virginia, June 24, 1864, with acute diarrhoea. Furloughed for thirty days on August 4, 1864. Reported absent sick through December, 1864.

 Private Wesley C Stroup

 Born in Lincoln County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Lincoln County at age 27, March 25, 1862. Wounded in the right foot (fracture) and captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on or about July 3, 1863. Right foot amputated. Hospitalized at Gettysburg Transferred to hospital at Baltimore, Maryland, on an unspecified date. Paroled at Baltimore on or about November 12, 1863. Received at City Point, Virginia, November 17, 1863, for exchange. Reported absent wounded until November 8, 1864, when he was retired to the Invalid Corps.
