Pvt. Michael P. Dellinger Company H, of the 52nd Regiment N. C. Troops

My 2nd cousin 5x removed, Pvt. Michael P. Dellinger. Michael was born in Lincoln County NC where he lived and worked as a farmer. He enlisted in Company H, of the 52nd Regiment N. C. Troops at the age of 21 on 25 March 1862. He was reported as present or accounted for until December of 1864. However, he was absent with sickness during much of that period of time. He survived the war and was married to the lady in the picture, her name is Emily Theodocia "Docia" Stroup.
